Where Are Fidelity Offices Located?

Despite being one of the largest online brokers and multinational financial services in the United States, Fidelity still has offices like any other business. As a matter of fact, they have multiple locations to help meet the different needs of customers and carry out investment research. So where are these Fidelity offices located?

Fidelity has offices in all states of America, apart from Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming. The company also has 12 regional sites across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia.

In this article, we’ll be considering:

  • Where the Fidelity headquarters is located,
  • Whether  Fidelity has offices outside the US,
  • The Fidelity regional sites, and
  • The Fidelity investor centers

Where Is the Fidelity Headquarters Located?

Fidelity’s corporate headquarters is located in Boston, Massachusetts. After being located on Devonshire Street for decades, the headquarters is now located at 245 Summer Street, V5D Boston, MA 02210 United States.

Naturally, the corporate headquarters is the heart of the company, embodying all of the corporation’s culture and history. It is also where most executives, including the CEO, the board members, and other key managerial staff are located. Therefore duties carried out at the corporate headquarters will have to do with human resources, corporate communications, accounting, and legal matters.

To talk with the corporate office general inquiry department for customer services, you can dial +1 800-343-3548. Of course, considering the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, business on the location might not have fully returned to normal.

FYI: The best way I've found to invest in ETFs is through M1 Finance. It's free and you even get an instant line of credit! Have a look here (link to M1 Finance).

Are there Fidelity Offices Outside the US?

Although Fidelity does not currently open accounts for new customers residing outside the United States, there are multiple Fidelity locations outside the country. As a matter of fact, Fidelity has 46 offices across 27 other countries

In the UK, Fidelity has more than 2,500 people working in three different offices located in Central London, Surrey, and Newport. The UK offices are some of Fidelity’s largest investment hubs, home to many Fidelity business units like technology and customer services, and home to Fidelity’s Retirement Service Centre.

Fidelity International has operated in Ireland since 2000, and in 2016, an office was opened in Dublin. Fidelity runs its Global Treasury Operation in Dublin and is also home to Fidelity International’s Irish businesses, with core activities focused around fund accounting, foreign exchange, and client services.

In Continental Europe, the Fidelity business manages a broad range of asset classes for institutional, wholesale, and retail clients. The business also provides market-leading account services for independent financial advisers in Germany and Austria. The Kronberg office in Germany employs over 300 people in areas like sales, client service, compliance, and more.

The Luxembourg office in Kirchberg primarily focuses on product development, central marketing, risk, corporate services, and more. Home to 175 employees, it also has a customer service department to cater to customer needs.

In Asia and the Pacific, Fidelity has roots that date back to 1969. One of the most experienced global investment specialists in Asia-Pacific, the company has grown from having just one office in Tokyo to having locations in Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong. Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore.

In Dalian, China, Fidelity has two offices to support operations, technology and provide investment support for Fidelity International and Fidelity Investments. Here, technology solutions are developed to improve customer experience, redesign the operational process, or provide investment analysis and research to a global team.

The Hong Kong office is the regional hub for Asia-Pacific, excluding Japan. Employing around 425 people, it is also a regional hub for the Venture Growth Partners. There is also a Fidelity International Office in Tokyo, Japan which focuses on equities, fixed income, and solutions. With a workforce consisting of over 300 people, they also deal with wholesale, Institutional (Pension), and Personal Investing.

The Indian Fidelity offices are located in Gurgaon, Haryana, and New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA). Outside the UK, Fidelity International in India has the biggest office. However, the Indian locations rarely do anything relating directly to investments. They mostly perform support functions.

One of the key Fidelity International offices is located in Hamilton, Bermuda. Founded in 1969, the organization known as Fidelity International was then started here. Monitoring Fidelity’s global operations that consist of over 900 funds, the office also runs the global legal and compliance department.

Fidelity also has other offices in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Canada, and Switzerland.

NOTE: The easiest way to add diversification to your portfolio is to invest in real estate through Fundrise. You can become private real estate investor without the burden of property management! Check it out here (link to Fundrise).

Fidelity Regional Sites

Fidelity currently has 12 regional sites or offices located in Albuquerque, NM; Jacksonville, FL; Covington, KY; American Fork, UT Greenwood Village, CO; Jersey City, NJ; New York, NY; Merrimack, NH; Raleigh-Durham. NC; Salt Lake City, UT; Smithfield, RI; and Westlake, TX.

The Regional offices function as head offices for specific areas. Mainly, they have call centers where customers can call in to discuss their 401k(s) or an investment strategy with retirement in mind. Some employees also help customers with placing trades, making distributions, income planning, and insurance consulting.

Of course, there are also other departments at the regional offices which deal with other things like business strategy and administration. Regional sites also have active traders and people who provide general asset management services or asset management specifically for High Net Worth Individuals.

FYI: Another great way to get exposure to the real estate sector is by investing in real estate debt. Groundfloor offers fantastic short-term, high-yield bonds that can add diversification to your portfolio!

Fidelity Investor Centers

The Investor Centers are located all around the country. They serve as the main focal point for the business to the customers. They are the offices or branches where customers can easily walk into when they need to meet with a Fidelity representative.

These representatives are tasked with providing and maintaining a good relationship with the customer or marketing products to prospective clients. This way, the employees here place and take calls, deal with walk-in traffic, and take meetings.

ALSO: Small-cap equities can add a lot of upside to a portfolio while mitigating risks. Recently, I've discovered Mainvest's investment platform which makes it easy to invest in small and local businesses with returns of 10-25%. Take a look here (link to Mainvest).

In this article, we have looked at Fidelity’s office structures, their overseas locations, as well as the functions of each office in the grand scheme of things. You would have also learned that as a customer, your regular customer service calls will probably be taken by someone in a regional office, investor centers handle walk-in traffic, and the overseas offices carry out different functions.
